Founded and grew the
thriving business through word-of-mouth and by carving out a niche in
renovating older homes. The Company was originally founded on 1st
March 2006 with the name of Zeng Interior Design Space, managing wide range of
projects by simply revamp home interiors to face lift entire house including
bathrooms, kitchens and floor plans. Handled entire design process from
preliminary advisory and consultation, assessment through plan development and
execution.

As time moves on,
the founder Mr. Yee Zheng Yip has decided to expand the business by
incorporating a new entity with the name “Zids Design Sdn.Bhd” (hereinafter
reffered to as “ZIDS”) since December 2014. With that, ZIDS further collaborates
with architects and contractors during the development process, selecting
finishes, architectural elements and accessories.
Founders Mr.Yee and Mrs.Maylene started in 2006 with custom furniture. Over time, to meet market demands, the business grew into an interior design company. In 2023, they spent RM2.5M to buy a 16000 sqft factory and renovated it into a showroom that cost around RM2M.

Director
Yee, Director of Zids Design Sdn. Bhd.,
holds a Diploma in Interior Design from Equator Academy of Art and a Diploma in
Business from a school in Singapore. He built the company from the ground up,
starting by finding customers and handling all design and carpentry work
himself. Known for his warm and friendly service, Yee excels at providing
homeowners with alternative solutions. He believes design should balance
practicality and aesthetics, always serving people's needs.

Our showroom was
completed in October 2023 and is located in the vibrant Butterworth, Penang.
This 1,500-square-foot space is designed to showcase modern elegance and
practicality in a captivating environment. The secondhand factory was acquired
for RM1.3 million, and the renovation costs amounted to approximately
RM500,000.
As you step inside, you’re greeted by a spacious living room with a high ceiling and an impressive chandelier, creating a
sophisticated atmosphere. Adjacent to the living area is the kitchen, where
functionality meets style in innovative design solutions.
Around the kitchen, you'll find a thoughtfully
designed display shelf featuring an exquisite collection of wine and a curated
selection of figures. This stylish feature adds a personal touch and serves as
a focal point, enhancing the ambiance of the space.
The office space is crafted to support creativity and productivity, while the
well-equipped workspace for our carpenter team ensures high-quality, custom
craftsmanship.
